Get the most out of your presence on the internet! I just got this email from Bob Parsons of Go Daddy, a major player in web hosting and domain registration. While his public image and behavior are admittedly bad, his staff is top notch and his products are all problem solvers for business. That's why Encino Mom uses Go Daddy for our own business. Top tips for web-savvy business

It takes more than just a website to create a successful online presence for your business. What are Bob's top recommendations for staying relevant on the 'Net?

#1: It all starts with a great domain name. Keep yours short, easy to spell - and remember.

#2: Get to the point. Keep the content on your website clean, clear and direct.

#3: Less is not always more. Your site should contain detailed information about the products and services you provide, including photos.

#4: Avoid free email accounts. Employee email addresses should ALWAYS use the company's domain name.

#5: Tell the world about your website. Promote your company's site and URL on all correspondence and advertising.

Obviously Bob is a big believer in video. He has a vlog with lots of great information for business and his branding and personal style are all working together. In the video below, Bob talks about his top tips on camera and skillfully weaves a commercial for his own products seamlessly into the end of his presentation.

It's funny that he mentions NOT using too many videos - cluttering your site and muddying your message - funny because he is a huge user of video. I think the take away here is to tailor your video to meet your marketing goals, something that Go Daddy does with precision.
